Master or Sathguru (Father) – Disciple (Son).

Michael A. Selvaraj: It was not happened in my home country. For the first time, I met Grand MASTER FU SHENG YUAN in AUSTRALIA. Then, I continued to meet him at Hongkong, China.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: Currently at the young age of 80 Great Master Fu Sheng Yuan is still traveling from one continent to the next holding workshops and seminars. With each passing day more and more people are discovering the Authentic Yang Style Taichi. He wishes to achieve the wishes and dream of his father Fu Zhong Wen to convey the benefits of Tai Chi to every corner of the Globe. Great Master Fu Sheng Yuan says: “It is my life purpose to spread true Tai Chi to the world.”

What do you think about the above Fu Sheng Yuan’s sentence?

Michael A. Selvaraj: “AUTHENTIC YANG STYLE TAI-CHI CHUAN” is world’s most prominent Martial Art of all in its kind. Simple example is that The Legendary Great Masters & Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan all are still “UNBEATABLE”. We know that it is very rare and to have a title as “UNBEATBLE”.

When we travel in-depth in Tai-Chi by continuous practice, as a Martial Art, there is a stage not to have an opponent to fight about. Because, it gives complete internal calm & strength to the practitioner. Grand Master’s purpose to spread the true Tai-Chi to the world is a very high-level of scope and we are doing it in India by following Grand Master’s Principles.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: What do you feel about being one of the followers of Fu Sheng Yuan?

Michael A. Selvaraj: By the Master’s way to spread the true Tai-Chi, it is my whole responsibility to follow the Master’s principle and I am doing it. I have been blessed & I am fortune to have Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan & to get such an opportunity like this.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: How would you describe Great Master Fu Sheng Yuan and the work he has already done and still does to promote Authentic Yang Tai Chi through the entire world?

Michael A. Selvaraj: Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan’s purpose is precious and hence to succeed in his thought we do pray to God to attain the purpose.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: What kind of impact had Great GrandmasterFu Sheng Yuan in your life?

Michael A. Selvaraj: When I met GRAND MASTER FU SHENG YUAN & started to practice AUTHENTIC YANG STYLE TAI-CHI CHUAN, I cannot express my feelings. Because, there is no word to express about the changes which made me to feel enthusiastic. Besides, as I have been practicing Tai-Chi, I am traveling deep into my spiritual journey.

More than Martial Art, by practicing Tai-Chi, I can attain Spiritual Highness by Grand Master’s blessings.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: Besides Tai Chi, do you practice other martial arts? If so, what kind of martial arts?
Michael A. Selvaraj: I know Indian Martial Arts such as Kalari, Varmam and Indian Medicine Vaithiyam. I had also experienced in Japanese Karate since 1983. As of now, since when I started to practice TAI-CHI, I have only been dedicated myself towards practicing AUTHENTIC YANG STYLE TAI-CHI CHUAN.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: In your opinion what is Tai Chi?

Michael A. Selvaraj: TAI-CHI CHUAN is really the highest of its kind to know about the Internal Energy which is the Space (Cosmic Energy) in every Human Being. This Cosmic Energy has been kept in all of us. By practice we are aware about this Ultimate Energy, is so-called “TAI-CHI CHUAN”. That is, this Universe has been composed of 5 Major Energy Elements as “Land (Solid), Water (fluid), Air (Atmosphere), Fire (Heat) & Space (Cosmic Energy)”. We can feel it all over from this “Land” to “Fire”. At last to feel about this Cosmic Energy our mind should be in a calm & conscious stage. But in order to feel about that Cosmic Energy within us, we have to train ourself deep into consciousness by regular practice in Tai-Chi Chuan.

For example, within our soul The Cosmic Energy or Spiritual Energy has been kept tightly sealed by our own thoughts of mind. This sealed state of our own mind could only be sealed off by a True Master. A True Master has always helping us to feel about the space and it is called as the Empty Mind.

Whenever, our body sets imbalanced with these 5 elements within us, it will reflect as diseases both in our mind as well as our body. That is, Yin-Yong imbalance. When we feel about the Ultimate Energy in “Tai-Chi Chuan”, the five elements then automatically nourishes and becomes the balanced one. This stage can be done only by the help of a True Master.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: How do you live Tai Chi?

Michael A. Selvaraj: I feel very healthy, so to say: An Iron Ball inside a cotton wrap at this young age of fifty seven (57).

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: Are you a Tai Chi teacher, instructor or master? Or do you practice Tai Chi just for your personal development or health care?

Michael A. Selvaraj: I have still been learning Tai-Chi Chuan from the Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan & Master James Fu. Masters certified me to teach Tai-Chi Chuan to others. I am not a Master. I am a disciple to the Great Legendary Masters.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: What can you tell us about World Yongnian Tai Chi Federation is?

Michael A. Selvaraj: I know very well about “World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation”. Initially it was created by the Great Grand Master Fu Zhong Wen as “Yong Nian Taijiquan Association” in 1944. Now, it has been called as “World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation” and the Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan is currently the president of the World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation and Fu Sheng Yuan International Tai Chi Academy and his son Master Fu Qing Quan (James Fu Qing Quan) is the Vice President.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: Please give some suggestions about other useful and interesting subjects or write what you may think interesting to share with other people.

Michael A. Selvaraj: I already learned some other traditional Indian Martial Arts with 10 different Masters. In India, Masters are considered to be Royal Highness in a person’s life. All the Masters from whom I learned the Indian Martial Arts are great experts in their specific Martial Arts styles.

My Tai-Chi Master Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan I really great in his kind. In my experience, I have seen Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan as a great Spiritualist. He is so energetic and powerful than many Dynamic Bombs. A small movement in his action will lead to great effects in the surroundings. Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan is my treasure to be followed.

As per Indian Philosophy, “Guru (Leader)” is the Master. He has always been considered to be God. I am respecting my Master and bow down my head to my respectful Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan.

World Yong Nian Tai Chi Federation: Write a sentence about Authentic Yang Tai Chi and Great Master Fu Sheng Yuan.

Michael A. Selvaraj: Authentic Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan needs to be reached in every corner of the globe throughout all continents & countries by the Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan & Master James Fu’s constant effort & blessings.

A student who has been practicing Authentic Yang Style Tai Chi regularly will never suffer from any health imbalances. If someone has those imbalances before practicing Tai Chi, Tai Chi will restore the health in a balanced way, when a person practicing it. Tai Chi Chuan is the greatest Martial Art of its kind. The slow movement of Tai Chi Chuan seems like a dance, but it has more explosive power than the Atomic Bomb. The person who practices Tai Chi Chuan can only aware about it.

Nowadays, the growth of traditional way of an art is exceptional, indeed. Authentic Yang style Tai Chi Chuan’s growth in a family for the past six generations is a great occurrence in the pages of history. Every Legendary Tai Chi Master’s in the lineage is equivalent to a University. It has since been completely formulated in the past six generations. It belongs to the Grand Masters in the lineage, Grand Master Fu Sheng Yuan and Master James Fu Qing Quan. We believe that this profound, precious Art will be publicized to all the countries and continents in the globe. About Tai-Chi Chuan:

Introduction

What is Tai-Chi?

Taichi is a martial art. It originated in China more than thousand years ago. It was originally used for self defense. But today most people practice it for health benefits and Spiritual development. Taichi is for attaining inner peace, joy and
Taichi looks like a slow dance. But with its simple movements, Taichi is a wealth of philosophy, medicine and science.
The continuous gentle movements of Taichi are based on the principle that running water never stagnates. The gentle movements relax your muscles and joints. They strengthen your body physically, mentally and spiritually. It helps in the unity of the body, mind and the spirit.
Taichi is like water in a pot. We do not see the hidden power in it before heating. But when it is heated, we could see the enormous power of steam. It could move trains.
A Taichi master is compared to an iron ball inside a cotton wrap. The more one practices Taichi, the more he gets inner strength.

Origin of Tai-Chi

Taichi was founded by Chang San Feng during the 13th century. He was an eminent acupuncturist. He combined this knowledge with Taichi system. He himself organized Taichi into 12 forms called Chi Disruption forms. According to legends, it is said that he lived more than hundred years. He did not die but transformed into pure spirit and flew away. (Spiritual Attainments)
Taichi is practiced at many levels. Grand Master Yang Cheng Fu, the third generation of the yang family, had made 85 movements in Taichi. Apart from this, there are sword techniques, knife techniques and other techniques of the hand.
All these techniques are based on the movements of animals and birds such as cat, eagle, crane etc.
When it is applied as a martial art, a Taichi master simply in an attack has the capacity to damage the internal organs of the enemy without causing any sign of outward injury.

History of the Authentic yang Style Tai-Chi.

Yang Luchan was the founder of the yang Style Taichi. Yang Cheng Fu is his grandson. Fu Zhong Wen was the Grand master of China’s Yang Style Taichi. The great Master Fu sheng Yuan is his son. Fu Sheng Yuan began to learn Yang Style Taichi at an early age. He followed his father practicing Taichi, the martial art at a high level. Now the great Master Fu Sheng Yuan is spreading Yang Style Taichi throughout the world. Master Fu Sheng Yuan’s four important principles are Diligence (Zhin), Perseverance (Hen), Respect (Li) and Sincerity (Zhen). He has at present several number of disciples in various countries throughout the world.
The great Master Fu Sheng Yuan’s son is Fu Quing Quan (James Fu) 6th generation. He is well renowned for his research work in the Yang Style Taichi. He has a number of followers throughout the world.

His third visit to China was in 2004 to attend The Shanghai World Grand Wushu Festival Tournament between 2nd and 4th May, 2004. He was awarded 4th place in Tai Chi form. He won 3rd place in Tai Chi sword event in the same tournament. This was followed by training for one month under Master Fu Qing Quan. His recent visit to Hong Kong was in Sep, 2004. He took part in the Hong Kong International Tai Chi Tournament and won gold medal in Tai Chi form.

He is the proud Indian disciple of Fu Sheng Yuan, 5th generation.

Different people practice Taichi with different aims. Some take it up for health benefits, some others for spiritual developments. But they never forget that it is a martial art. Whatever may be the aims for studying Taichi, really it sharpens your attitude, outlook and perception, making you stress free. It helps you in becoming a better person physically, mentally and spiritually and helps you towards the unity of the body, mind and the Spirit. One must practice Taichi to understand the true benefits since words are insufficient to express the essence of Taichi.
